There are several loves in my life, and somewhere, I cannot disclose where in the list, lies cupcakes. They are a delectable treat, and a true joy in my life. I could eat millions of them. I appreciate a true bakery, and I must add Society Bakery as a MUST if you are ever in Dallas.
Most importantly, I cannot take credit for this gem of a find. No, no. This past wknd while the T's were in town, Jenn and I made a run for Buffalo Exchange (another fave) and Blake, once he was done shopping...made a mad dash out only to stumble upon The Society Bakery!!
Out of boredom he thought he'd step in, to see what they had while his wife and I finished spending money. He came home with some of the most spectacular, make-you-drool, cupcakes in all of land. Therefore, we must give thanks and all credit to Blake, for this sweet sweet irresistible treat!
So, if you're ever in the Dallas area, or visiting us! Well, actually! If you're in the Big D, you should be visiting us! Do yourself a sweet favor and visit Society Bakery for a treat!
How cute is this Lingerie Shower cake?! Oh my! So cute!

Luke loves his Uncle JR! Is there anything cuter than this picture?!?!
Joe Joe admiring his finds!! Precious boy! oh! The excitement!! Helping my almost nephew with his Easter eggs! The boy cousins! Hunter, Mikey, and Joseph. Mommy counting eggs for her babies! Hey! Uncle! Look!
Emma Rosey and her basket full of eggs!!
I've gotten "craftier" as I've gotten older, and I since making an Easter basket for my 27 yr. old fiance would be strange...I decided to make some for Emma and Joseph. If you know me, you know my dislike for all things generic. Anything prepackaged is not the real thing! So, I took it upon myself to make the babies their very own baskets!! I have just as much fun finding the "ingredients" as I do actually making them!!
The first thing I needed obviously were the baskets, and I found this blue one for Joe Joe and a pink one to match for Emma Rose. What's a basket without "stuffing", ha! So, I found this cute crinkle paper matching each of their colors.
They each got an Easter animal, Joseph a froggie and Emma a piggy! I put little Playdoh Easter eggs in both of the animals little arms. I wanted some for myself!!
Emma got a Cinderella book with her name as one of the characters, so I got Joseph some chalk Easter eggs!! Cinderella isn't his thing!
The paper was great to add in!
How cute are these?! Little chicky goody bags!! I filled these with pastel colored M & M's!
So, I gave him his own Kitty Easter Egg!
And what's a good Easter post, without a video of the kids! HAHA! Here is a short little video of Joe Joe eating his M & M's face first out of his pail!!
There is no real furniture in there yet, as they have not moved in obviously but there is enough for a visitor or two!!
Rachel and the view...from the living room.
What will be the dining room.
Guest Room 1--maybe The Pettijohn Family Room!!
The pool, WOW!
The beach view from the pool area!
The view out, AMAZING.
There's no place like Miami!

On the menu, we tried sushi at Sushi on McKinney which was great! Later that night we went to The Ginger Man in Uptown which is the coolest pub with 1,748,888 beers on tap from all over the world! Happy boys we had! They kept talking like, "well, we just went to Germany...why don't we head over to Ireland now?" Hilarious. They took a man's "beer trip"...men.
Their beloved menu.
They stayed at a hotel thru Thursday then came to stay with us on Friday!! We took them to delicious Campania for lunch then hung out by the pool that afternoon because the day was so nice!
We finished the night off at Patrizio's, our favorite Italian in Dallas! The evening was so beautiful and Highland Park Village is perfect in the spring and summer! We walked around while we waited for our table and we got a lovely seat out on the patio and ate ate and ate. and ate. We always miss our friends, but cherish the days we get to spend with them! Please! Come visit! We'd love to show you around!
Arena football just doesn't have the excitement that real football does! Sporting events are always fun though, regardless of the true sport. Unless ofcourse, you're at an OU football game!!
Hey Ryan?! What kind of football is this??
Oh! Arena Football!
