Glenda promised the kids that they could come over after the shower to feed the goats, so after JR and I napped, we headed over to Glenda's and I think Joseph and I were the most enthused with all of the animals!! Hahaha!
Poor goat! ha! He looks irritated!
Ofcourse! Joseph in the feeder!

I can't figure out to hold them though! JR thinks this is really funny.....

These little guys were Joseph's buddies!! It was so cute to watch! They'd nip his little hiney!
He'd try and beat on them a little, ha!
He'd had enough play time! Always a snuggle in there somewhere! He's such a snuggle bunny!

We had so much fun!! Thank you Glenda for having us over!!

project

I'm onto my next project.

My last project was made public...my first canvas...eek. If you may recall---->

I'm over it. I don't like it anymore, given it was my first 'painting' but no no. I no longer like it really.

My next project, or current rather is one for my future niece, Emma Rose.

She doesn't know I'm working on it, because if I don't like the finished product I'm going to have to start over, hahaha! I'm hoping to have it finished by the wedding to give to her as part of her flower girl gift.

It will be her first gift from her Aunt Nat and my first gift to my new niece.

So, I thought I'd give you a peek at what I'm working on:

Please feel free to make fun of my 'painters palette', i.e. paper towels and my gift packaging protector on our kitchen table! Hey! you have to work with what you have! I realized how funny it looks once I had posted :)

I can't say what my finished design will be, but you can atleast see my progress so far! I bought a 10 x 10 canvas I believe and some Emma colors :) Here's what I have up til now! Getting a straight line I learned, requires some tape!! This took me a whole morning! Amateur!

Once I have the next step done, I will post.
It's coming along great!! I'm happy with it so far! Now I have to come up with a design for Joe Joe, because he's getting an Aunt Nat too! Like I always say, a homemade gift is always better than a generic one. I've always felt that it is the love and care that goes into one that is what is truly special. It's neat to give them things that can remind them of how much I love them, when when we are a state away from the babies we love most.

Hopefully it will be something very special to Emma, from her future Aunt Nat!

Thrasher's in TX

Yep, you read right!! The Thrasher's finally made it to the Big D! We were so excited to have our dearest in our home at last!!

They made it down Saturday afternoon, and we decided to stay around the area and went to dinner at TX Land and Cattle for some delicious steaks and adult beverages :)

After the yummo steak dinner we headed down to The Ginger Man, the same pub we took Blake and Jenn to just a couple of weeks ago. It's such a low-key place in the midst of all the Uptowniness....more our pace! So we scoured the massive menu of cerveza available...

I enjoyed some delicious cider, Woodchuck Amber, yummmm! and JR went around the map with Cody trying the other "man" beers! Holly and I stuck to the lady beverages :) actually Holly ended up with a Root Beer Float, yeah! this place is that cool!

38 days left!!

Sunday morning, I got up before everyone and wanted to play with some of our new stuff! First in line was our spectacular waffle maker from The Neaves' and Carole!!! Lauren and Rico treated us to some breakfast waffles a few months ago, and now I wanted to try it out with my very own!! If you don't have one, I highly highly recommend this super waffle making device. It's a MUST.

I really got up early, to practice making the waffles since it was my first time! A good hostess can't serve burnt waffles :)My FIRST waffle! A beauty!! It's that easy!
My honey making some bacon!! We're mastering breakfast!
Our Sunday morning breakfast with The Thrasher's! minus Baby Luke :(
After breakfast, the boys went to the driving range while Holly and I got ready...for the FC Dallas game!! It's been years since I've been to a soccer game but we had a blast! It was out in Frisco and it's refreshing to be out there to get out of the city a bit, and the field was super nice! JR and I got some hot dogs and nachos! We all know I cannot go to any sporting event and not get some fattening food! That's really why I go, hahaha!

How cute are the boys in their soccer jackets!!!??

FC Dallas game!
Nat and Holly
Awesome field!

This was our half-time show! So cute! We want our future Pettijohn babies to be little soccer players!
Our weekend was so wonderful! We've waited a long time to have Cody and Holly down and it was so nice to show them our life and our home! Thank you so much for making the trip and we hope there are many more to come.

Except that next time, you better bring that baby!
