please help me!

We are in full out teething chaos. I say chaos, because my angel baby turned into a full-time crab and both he and I have had the most exhausting week in his whole precious 5 months.

We are hands-free, NEVER. He wants to be held at all times, and even then isn't fully satisfied. He has a red tush, swollen gums, and there's nothing this Momma can do to make it all better. Teething is welcome to leave our house, so my sweet tiny can feel all baby better. I'm about to kick teething in the {bad word}.

A shower a day is sparce, and I type now in my pj's--from last night. Ick.

I come to you. Trusting you know way more than me.

Do you have any teething remedies, suggestions, {Happy Hour}, advice?

I just ordered Sophie the Giraffe, after reading blogs, ofcourse---but any other help would be so very appreciated.

Thank you,
one very tired Momma

Poor baby! Nothing unique here... but Baby Orajel, Infant Motrin (works better/last longer than Tylenol), frozen teethers... and we didn't use this but I hear it works great, the Razbaby Razberry Teething Pacifier.

Hope little Hudson (and mama) get some relief.

Hylands Teething Tablets. They're all natural. You can give him as many as you want, as often as you want. They just dissolve in his little mouth. Don't know how they work, but they do.

I have 3 kids... 4 yrs, 3, yrs, and 6 mos. So we're in the middle of the teething hell as well with our baby. No naps. Constantly wants to be held. Waking in the middle of the night.Teething sucks. It's one of the things I was already dreading when my last baby was born, just b/c I knew how bad it would be. Keep praying for it to be over ASAP. And in the meantime, try the teething tablets...as well as Orajel and Motrin or Tylenol. (And know there are moms everywhere feeling your pain!!) Hang in there!!

Wine and cheese. Oh and for baby maybe a little tylenol ,sophie , and anything cold her can hold and munch on. It helps numb them. Even a cold wash cloth. And if that doesn't work maybe try another glass of wine :)

Hyland's Teething tabs worked great for my baby boy! Hope it works for your adorable bear.

Hyland's Teething tablets or teething drops. Motrin for teething pain. Aquafor for diaper rash. And another cold..even a cold wash cloth. We actually let me daughter chew on the squishy stopper end of the old baby Tylenol or Motrin bottles. THAT was her favorite thing.

Hylands teething tablets are great. I have also found that using the Baby Feeder (mesh thing) and putting an ice cube in it works great. And then you can always wet and freeze "clean" baby socks.

I'm sorry hun! I know do know how you feel and it's just awful. Every baby is different but Oragel did not work for Keegan. Hyland Homeopathic teething tablets worked miracles for her. You can get them at Walgreens, Target, BRU, etc. They are wonderful and you can give them as needed since they are all natural. Sohpie is wonderful as well! Infant Motrin worked better than tylenol for Keegan but like I said, you just have to try and see what works for him. Good luck Mommy! It gets better, promise =)

Oh and I also second putting ice in the little mesh fruit holder thing (not sure what its real name is). That worked well for my K.

Teething Tablets they are all natural got them at walmart..worked for Brody!

Motrin or Tylenol..

Take some thin baby washcloths...roll them up and put them in cold water in the fridge for a little bit and then let him chew!!!

Oragel!!!

Hope you find something that give him relief and that he is feeling better!!

teething tablets

clean baby sock, put a piece of ice in it,knot the bottom, chew on till the ice melts.(hey I was desperate one day,and discovered my children LOVED them!)

Mesh feeder things (sell them at target and walmart) can put ice in that too.But socks work just as well!

motrin,for night times.

oh,and prayer,lot's and lot's!
Will be sure to send some your way!

0h goodness - Amberly is doing that same thing as in Bear's pic.....biting on the hands....I think teething isnt too far away for us - I hope he gets better and you get some rest! My mom said I used to chew on cold carrots or any cold teether.

I don't know if Hudson has had baby food yet, but if so, putting frozen peach slices in the mesh feeders works wonders (and doesn't melt like the ice does). The teething tablets were life savers around here too!

Ditto on the Hyland Teething Tablets!! Miracle Worker!! Also, I bought a teething toy from Discovery Toys, it was great. You will have to go to their website and see if there is a consultant close to you or have one shipped to you. Good luck. We are getting our last 4 teeth now...I am hearing horror stories about them!

Awe bless his heart. Poor little mr. We are just now starting the whole teething process. The slobbers, the fussies, the swollen gums. So I am reading your advice for myself as well. We bought Cooper some teethers that you put in the freezer from babies r us. He seems to like them. But most the time its hands in the mouth or he LOVES to take his bib or sleeve and chew on it.
I hope you find something that works for Hudson. Post what does end up working. I think we will need to start buying some more things very soon.

As far as the never wanting to be out of your arms thing...have you tried a sling or a wrap?

I would do a switch off of motrin and tylenol every 4 hours around the clock. Make sure that he is sucking on some ice cold teething toys. Orajel and teething tablets may help or they may not. I think the motrin and tylenol is your best bet. Good Luck!

Cute blog! My fist baby is due in May so I don't have actual experience but a lot of my friends use the mesh feeder/teether and say it is wonderful. I think Sassy and Munchkin make one. Good luck! I will keep reading your blog for baby advice!
