11

310 days ago, JR asked me to be his wife.
In 11 days, I will be.
In 950, 400 seconds I will walk down the aisle with my daddy.
In 15, 840 minutes I will say vows that will forever unite JR and I, as one.
In 264 hours I will say I do.
In 11 days, I will be a wife.
A wife, to JR.

15 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will have a husband in 15 days!! and he a wife!!! We are so so so excited and are gearing up for the BIG day!!

In other news....we got our Marriage License yesterday! Eeeek! The lady made fun of me because she said I couldn't stop smiling! I'm not sure if it was because of the emotion of it, or not, but when JR met me at the court house...I thought he looked especially hot! hahahaha!

I always he think he looks hot, but he walked in, and I thought! WOW! That's my almost husband! He'll be really embarrassed that I posted this, ha!

To add to the perfect day, I picked up JR's ring, and it is PERFECT!! It is just what he wanted :)

We took everything over to my parent's house, and went out to dinner at Taverna! It was a giddy day, and to top it all off, we have Lauren Edwards' wedding tonight!!! woo-hoo!!

Wedding, wedding, wedding! Oh! What will I do with free time after the wedding!?!?!? What did I do with all of my time before?!

15 days, 15 days, 15 days, 15 days, yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

I love JR.

o-k-l-a-h-o-m-a

Since dropping off our PETTIJOHN sign to get framed (thanks Holly and Terrie), I've had this desire to frame more :)

I've had my eye on these spectacular prints of the old OU football programs ranging from the 1950's and on! They are such a neat find, and my idea is to have a few of them framed for our office. JR has made it pretty clear, that he does not want our house to end up crimson and cream, so I see this as a compromise! It's still OKLAHOMA, but it's vintage and has a very cool look to it!

These are a few I have in mind:

Check it out!! OU vs. Colorado, Dad's Day Wknd OCT. 1965

William and Mary vs. OU, September 29, 1957 My Favorite!! OU vs OSU, November 30, 1957

BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!

mmmm, yummo

The 43rd Pillsbury Cook-Off was held in Dallas yesterday, to which ofcourse I payed special attention to :)

The winner takes home a lovely $1 MILLION!! The article came out today in The Dallas Morning News, with the winner of the million $$ treat! So, I thought I'd share it with you!

Pillsbury Double-Delight Peanut Butter Cookies

¼ cup dry roasted peanuts, finely chopped
1/4 cup sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ cup creamy peanut butter
½ cup powdered sugar
1 (16.5-ounce) package Pillsbury Create 'n Bake refrigerated peanut butter cookies, well chilled

Preheat oven to 375 F. In small bowl, mix chopped peanuts, sugar and cinnamon; set aside.

In another small bowl, stir peanut butter and powdered sugar until completely blended. Shape mixture into 24 (1-inch) balls.

Cut roll of cookie dough into 12 slices. Cut each slice in half crosswise to make 24 pieces; flatten slightly. Shape 1 cookie dough piece around 1 peanut butter ball, covering completely. Repeat with remaining dough and balls.

Roll each covered ball in peanut mixture; gently pat mixture completely onto balls. On ungreased large cookie sheets, place balls 2 inches apart. Spray bottom of drinking glass with nonstick cooking spray; press into remaining peanut mixture.

Flatten each ball to ¼ -inch thickness with bottom of glass. Sprinkle any remaining peanut mixture evenly on tops of cookies; gently press into dough.

Bake 7 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack. Store tightly covered. Makes 24 cookies.

pretty pots

On a lighter note, I have a fat finger and a green thumb :) dork!

Lauren has been quite the gardener these days, and found the mini-pots at Target, and I ofcourse have been wanting to copy! Alas!!!! I finally found some at our store!!

They have all kinds of herbs and such, but I wanted something pretty to start out with, so I got a Marigold, Daisy, and a Strawberry plant! All of them have sprouted, and I'm super proud of my mini-pots!

In order from baby sprout to big sprout: strawberry, daisy, and marigold!! woo-hoo!

I went over to Ryan's last night and convinced her roomie, Schills, to go out and get some too!! They are so fun!! and so teeny tiny! If you get some, you must post when they sprout! Happy mini-gardening!!!

left left

Our life has gotten SO BUSY, and that is no exaggeration. We get married in only 26 days!!!!!!

26 days!!!!! wow!

So, I apologize for our lack of daily posts, as wedding stuff is taking up 99.9% of my time.

To add to our whirlwind, or mine really...I slammed my finger in my car door yesterday. So, if anyone called me yesterday afternoon (Holly) I didn't answer because I was probably too busy crying my eyes out. Again, no exaggeration.

I was about to start my grocery shopping, and as I was fixing to shut my door a huge gust of wind came and slammed my poor little finger in my door. I kind of went into shock, and tried to walk away but immediately felt like the wind got knocked out of me so I went back to my car and tried to talk myself out of the pain as I sat in the passenger side of my car, crocodile tears flowing.

I'm sure I looked ridiculous, but I eventually walked me and my fat finger into the store where some poor employee came upon me and doctored my injury. 24 yr old, crying, grasping my finger.

Champion me, actually did get some groceries, but eventually could not stand it, and hurried home. Crying the whole way home....I wanted to call an ambulance for myself :)

I called JR, who ofcourse thought I was doing my Natalie-drama and making it sound way worse than how I portrayed it...he came home and said, "Wow! you did it pretty good..."

DUH DUH DUH, which ofcourse brings on another round of cry-heaving. By this point my "pain" is so bad I decide that only laying in bed, and JR fixing me a sandwich will do :) and it does, definately help. Along with a painkiller...

My finger is double its normal size, and looks like a man finger. I can't sleep, I type with one hand, and must resort to using my weak, left hand which never gets used. I'm using my reserve hand, ha.

That's my pity party, and I'm sticking to it.

good find

My logic is this: if I have to file and be organized with our bills and such, why not make it fun and cute!??

So I got these!!!!

Now I can file and stay orderly, but with fabulous folders! yay!

workout!

Uncle gave the kids a workout!! Ha! They really just wanted to do whatever Uncle was doing!

Is there anything cuter??!!

Shortly after this picture was taken, Jospeh accidentally smacked Emma in the mouth, because he was flailing his arms, "working out".....oops!

This was the aftermath :) She was okay! Accidents happen!

I can't figure out to hold them though! JR thinks this is really funny.....

These little guys were Joseph's buddies!! It was so cute to watch! They'd nip his little hiney!
He'd try and beat on them a little, ha!
He'd had enough play time! Always a snuggle in there somewhere! He's such a snuggle bunny!
